Senior Software Developer | 6 month contract | Fully Remote
£450 - £600 a day Outside IR35
Are you a full stack developer with Vue & Python? Want to work for one of the UKs leading MedTech companies? Then this could be the opportunity for you!
You will be involved in the development of robust, maintainable, software products for a leading Scientific company.
You will ideally have a bias towards the front end but competent with full stack development.
Front End - Vue 3, Vite, Pinia, composable API, Single file components, Javascript, HTML, CSS
Back End – Python 3.6+, Flask, SQLAlchemy, Open API, and PostgreSQL
Role:
- Registering surveys and tracking/ receiving results from genetic samples using a web-based portal.
- Using work flow to track on-boarding, sample processing, and data production processes.
- Tracking of each sample, its metadata and provenance throughout the sample’s life-cycle, including analysis, enabling fully curated data, sample tracking and automated servicedelivery KPIs
- To work collaboratively with a core team of product managers, developers, testers and data analysts to ensure the development and refinement of software products.
- Contributing to the overall application architecture and design, reinforcing best practice methods of integration to a range of data sets as well as the future extensibility of the product.
Technical Skills:
- 3+ years experience with Vue & Python,
- Flask experience and exposure to SQLAlchemy
- Familiarity with web-based technologies (HTML / CSS / JavaScript) and modern web development techniques
- Vue experience with good exposure to Vite, Pinia, composable API, Single file components
- Knowledge and experience with modern software development practices, including version control, continuous integration, unit testing and workflow management tools such as Jira, Gitlab, etc.
- Experience of Agile Software Development methods such as SCRUM
- Familiarity with SQL, databases, and database design
- Experience working with a wide variety of technologies and on diverse problems
- Experience of CI/CD and containerization (Docker, Singularity)
- Great communication skills
- Be a role model to other developers in the team, ensuring consistency in approach and collaborating with the team lead to develop application development standards that can be consistently applied
