Senior Software Engineer (Contract) (Remote)

We are seeking talented engineers to join our team of collaborators. We build a wide variety of projects for our tech-focused clients. Current projects range from one-page data visualizations to full developer platforms. How We Work...

We embrace the distributed network, encourage working remotely, and have collaborators across the nation. You would be working under our Director of Technology and work remotely with the occasional face-to-face meeting.

Our team is comprised of a tight network of A-team contractors. This position will be a short-term contract-based engagement with the potential to continue.

Responsibilities:

• Be an active member of a cross-functional agile team composed of product managers, designers and developers
• Develop frontend (mostly) and backend applications
• Participate in code reviews
• Contribute to culture that encourages learning, strong standards, and quality code
• Invest in testing and documentation

Requirements:

• 3+ years professional experience with WordPress, prefer experience with WordPress VIP
• 3+ years professional experience in at least one modern JS framework e.g. ReactJS, AngularJS or similar technology
• Experience creating sites with WordPress and Gatsby
• Understand asynchronous and event driven programming
• Good communication skills and comfortable in a highly collaborative environment
• Independent time management skills
• Ready to learn new skills and domains, and excited to solve problems

Frontend Skills:

React, Gatsby, TypeScript, CSS3, HTML5, Responsive Web, Mobile Web Design, Sass/Less

Other Skills:

WordPress, Docker / ECS, API's, Unit Tests, RESTful web services
