Senior Python Developer - New Team - Remote Working
Python Developer urgently required by our client based in the city centre of Edinburgh, on 12-month contract with flexible and remote working on offer.
The Role:
With almost 30 years of experience in their industry, your new employer has grown from a little-known start-up in Scotland to a veritable powerhouse worldwide.
Their Edinburgh development centre is home to circa 100+ Engineers (and the team is constantly growing!); working with some cutting-edge technologies and continuing to push forwards with new products and new tech. They currently have four web portals that need completely redeveloped, all four portals are consumer facing sites. As a result, they're looking for a lead Python Engineer, with Django and Ansible experience - who will be expected to add a lot of value to the project, hit the ground running from day one and mentor junior developers when needed.
You'll be joining a team of engineers in Edinburgh to work on delivering the project on time and to the highest standard, which will have a significant impact on the consumer journey while using the portals.
The Tech:
The team are working with a range of technologies, as already discussed, so to be successful in this role you will likely have an interest in some, if not most of the following:
** Python
** Django
** MySQL
** Ansible
** TDD
** Agile
Even as a contractor you'll also be exposed to new tech, new approaches and add several strings to your development bow for future roles.
The Company & Culture:
There is a new leadership team in place and things are being shaken up (in a good way!) as a result - a lot of modern tech is being introduced and there's a big focus on doing things the "right way".
Having met most of the team, they are a great bunch and I can imagine it being a very inclusive, relaxed and highly skilled environment.
The Rate:
For the right person we have a day rate of £450 - £500 depending on your experience and what you can add to the project.
On top of that, this role is Outside of IR 35, offers flexible/remote working and their based in the heart of the City Centre.
