vCORE is seeking a Senior Palo Alto Network Engineer, that will be project-focused, working both independently and with a team. This is a contract position that is 100% remote. We're looking to start someone ASAP.

What You'll Do

• Configure and maintain firewall policies
• Configure and maintain routing on firewalls
• Perform Best Practice Assessment and next steps to implement
• Monitor firewall performance and integrity
• Resolve issues through troubleshooting and inspection of infrastructure.
• Maintain complete technical documentation
• Assist with improvements to the firewall, network performance, capacity and scalability

Working hours are from 8:30 – 5:00 PM (PDT)

• Large enterprise environment 150+ firewalls
• Packet capture analysis and troubleshooting
• Thorough understanding of TCP/IP and the OSI model
• PCNSE certification preferred
• 5+ years’ experience
• English fluency and strong communication skills
• Pass a drug test and criminal background check

Pay: $80.00 - $120.00 per hour

• Palo Alto/Panorama in a large (150+ firewalls) environment: 5 years (Required)
• nspection of SSL encrypted traffic: 5 years (Required)
• Understanding of TCP/IP and the OSI model: 5 years (Required)
