Senior Network Consultant (CCNP)

Senior Network Consultant (CCNP) - Swindon - £450 per day, 6 months

Network Consultant joining our clients Professional Services team. The ideal candidate will have experience owning projects from cradle to grave, the full lifecycle being the “go to person” for all activities including design and implementation of end-to-end network solutions.

Key Duties

• Act as the glue between tech and sales on customer meetings, and make recommendations on the design.
• Own projects from inception to completion.
• Perform strategic architecture and road mapping for clients.
• Requirements gathering and scoping of solutions to meet clients requirements.
• Be a face of the business, build a strong rapport with clients and become the consultant of choice.
• HLD/LLD.
• Liaise with 3rd party vendors.
• Perform configurations, troubleshooting and administration.
• Manage major incidents and support calls.
• Knowledge share within the business, encourages colleagues and mentor peers.
• Make suggestions on improving client’s infrastructure.

Technologies

• Cisco routing and switching, particularly Nexus 9k, 7k, 5k and 2k ranges.
• Cisco or Checkpoint Firewalls.
• Experience of Enterprise and Data Centre Network Infrastructure.
• Cisco Prime or Solarwinds
• Cisco Meraki or similar products wireless knowledge, large scale deployments - build WLC from scratch, setting up Access Points and conducting Site Surveys.
• General Infrastructure knowledge, not essential but nice to have Window 2012, VMware, SAN and NAS.

Desirable but not essential

• Cisco ISE
• Cisco Umbrella

Certification

• A valid CCIE or ability to demonstrate CCNP level knowledge/experience.
• CCNP minimum

The rate is £450 per day, immediate start and it's a 6 month engagement, outside of IR35.
