Senior Laravel Developer (Remote)

Primary Responsibilities

• Application and Web development using Laravel, PHP and 3rd party APIs.
• Build new features and enhancements.
• Work with clients and end-users to scope out future system developments.
• Show excellent judgment in architecting and planning applications and features at all stages of the project lifecycle.
• Attention to detail and the ability to consistently deliver quality work.
• Accountable for keeping the project clean and organized. This includes clarifying unclear tickets and breaking larger tickets into smaller and more manageable tasks.
• Take professional accountability for getting things done and communicate clearly to team members when blockers are identified.
• Review code carefully and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Responsible for keeping a production deployment path clear, and ensure that they are not a bottleneck for deployments.
• Available to work and participate in team conference meetings or client meetings in eastern time.

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience in PHP and related tools (Composer, PHPUnit)
• 2+ years of professional experience in the Laravel framework
• Experience building and interacting with RESTful APIs
• Strong in SQL databases such as MySQL
• Advanced experience/knowledge of database architecture and design
• Expertise with JavaScript and related tools (npm, JQuery, Vue)
• Familiar with Agile development methodologies
• Comfortable with using git
• An eye for detail and a commitment to quality work
