Senior Java Software Engineer (LTI) (Remote)

We are in need of an experienced Java Developer for a five plus month remote contract. We are upgrading our client's Learning Tools Integration software from 1.0 to 1.3. This is a great role for someone with some LTI experience or systems integration experience. You should also have a solid foundation working with Java (they are on version 11), Spring Boot and Oracle (PL/SQL). Pluses would be TDD, Test Automation, and AWS.

You will be working on a small team to help with this upgrade. We are starting interviews immediately.

Must be self-driven, communicate well, and work well on a team with other developers. Must work with the business to understand requirements and architecture leads to develop a strategic design. Ultimately responsible for delivery of project into production.

Experience working in an Agile environment is desired. Experience working in an Enterprise environment on large projects preferred.

Job Summary:

• Strong expertise in development using Core Java.
  
• Domain-driven design and Object-Oriented Programming, and Test-Driven Development referred.
  
• Core Java and J2EE technologies (Java Spring Boot, Hibernate, etc)
  
• Experience working with various design patterns and architectural principles is required.
  
• Strong Experience in Web Services development using REST APIs/XML/JSON and Oracle.
  
• AWS experience specifically with Fargate or Aurora a plus
