Senior Java Developer - Remote
A leading software development company is looking for a Senior Java Engineer to help build their next-generation technology platform. Working with a small team of experts and technologists, you’ll have a significant impact on the future of their key product offering.
You will be a part of the core development team based in Oxford although this work can be done remotely
The initial contract will run 5-6 months and you’ll need strong Java and SQL skills in addition to ideally Spark SQL, Spark, Hadoop, Grails.
Requirements;
·High proficiency in Java, Spring / Spring Boot, and SQL
·Strong understanding of application and data architecture
·A focus on engineering best practices and craftsmanship
·Excellent critical thinking skills and a pragmatic approach to problem solving
Bonus:
·Experience with Spark SQL
·Spark knowledge or Hadoop knowledge
