Senior Full Stack Java Developer (Remote)

The job is at client's place which is a division within NIH (National Institutes of Health). Current development contract is for 4 years.

Candidate shall have an undergraduate degree in Computer science or related fields. Candidate preferably is a Citizen of US or green card holder. H1B visa holders are also considered.

Candidate shall have 10 + years of working experience in

• Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) and related frameworks such as Struts, Java Server Pages (JSP), Spring (Spring MVC, Spring JDBC, Spring JMS), etc.
• Application Server Apache / Tomcat
• Relational DB technologies JDBC API, Spring JDBC, SQL, PL/SQL Oracle Database Management Systems, Hibernate

• Web UI technologies like JavaScript, CSS, Html, AJAX
• REST and SOAP Web Services, Service Oriented Architecture, XML, etc.

In addition the candidate shall be proficient in:

• Object Oriented Analysis and Design, Design patterns
• Agile programming, continuous integration, configuration management, etc.
• Testing tools and technologies, e.g. JUnit, Selenium, etc.
• Secure development practices

Candidate also demonstrates:

• Ability to take initiative, set direction and mentor team
• Ability to quickly identify the central/ underlying issues in a complex situation and proposes solutions to problems within imposed constraints
• Experienced with production support
• Communicates clearly about complex issues, problems or solutions by highlighting essential elements in simple terms

Experience with modern UI frameworks like Angular, Bootstrap and No SQL Databases like Dynamo DB are a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $80.00 - $85.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

COVID-19 considerations:
Currently all IT employees are working remotely. A phased approach has been adopted by the client and our division falls under last phase. When we go back to physical work location, enough precautions will be taken for the safety of the employees.
