Job Description

We are looking for a seasoned full-stack engineer to build out and manage our virtual event platform. Successful candidates will have a minimum of three to five years’ recent experience with all of the skills listed below.

Our project entails creation and management of a custom CMS system that manages virtual event experiences. These experiences will be built out for each of our client, while maintaining a very immersive experience for all front end users. We need a professional who is able to manage our system, roll out updates and new features as we grow. We will also build several micro server instance for several one-off experiences that need to be monitored, customized, and enhanced to our client's liking.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implementation of the overall web architecture for each instance
  • “Pixel-perfect” implementation of our approved user interface
  • Design and deployment of our database, Manage CSV Uploads, Ticketing & Registration
  • Ensuring the entire stack is designed and built for speed and scalability (AWS, CDNs)
  • Design and construction of our API Interface, while working with and implementing 3rd party APIs
  • Integrating our front-end UI with the constructed API - Combining existing web applications for use for all users within our environments.
  • Design and implementation of continuous integration and deployment

Skills

  • At least five to ten years’ experience with:
  • Vue, Laravel
  • WebRTC
  • Writing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Being up on latest practices is a must, e.g., HTML5, CSS3, and ECMAScript 6 (minimum)
  • A relevant back-end programming language {{ e.g., PHP, Python, Ruby or JavaScript }}
  • Database design and management, including being up on the latest practices and associated versions
  • Server management and deployment for the relevant environment, AWS, Firebase, or similar
  • Familiarity with a relevant and globally supported framework—both front-end and back-end, if necessary—{{ e.g., React, Vue, Laravel or Flask }}
  • Ideally, familiarity with CSS preprocessors, bundlers, and associated languages/syntaxes/libraries {{ e.g., Sass, Less, and webpack }}
  • Thorough understanding of user experience and possibly even product strategy
  • Experience implementing testing platforms and unit tests
  • Proficiency with Git {{ or another version control system as required }}
  • Appreciation for clean and well-documented code

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $74,171.00 to $100,000.00 /year

COVID-19 considerations:
We are open to working remotely for the current time but would appreciate applicants only apply if they are able to travel to Baltimore once every two weeks for in-person meetings and sessions.
