Upwork is looking for strong Senior Javascript Developers for our Enterprise team. You would be working on developing upwork.com features for Enterprise clients using the platform.
While subject to change, we're taking advantage of the latest technologies and tools like AWS, Docker, Jira, micro-services, Symfony and Nuxt.js/Vue.js to help build apps that millions of freelancers use every day.

* You have proven experience working flexible hours in a remote environment.
* Your working hours can overlap with the rest of the team for meetings (usually: mornings in PT timezone).

* Strong CS theory skills. While we use frameworks, you should be able to code without one.
* Good understanding of unit testing techniques
* Thorough test-writing skills and clean code. All code is peer-reviewed
* Good JavaScript skills
* Good knowledge of angularjs, vue.js or similar framework
* Knowledge of PHP or other server-side languages
* Good grasp of HTML5 and CSS3
* Proactively communicative in English. The team you'll be working with uses Scrum process and video meetings
* Understanding web application security
* A desire to learn new technologies and build your professional skills library
* REST experience. You'll be building a front-end that talks to a (backend) RESTful API
The following skills would be a bonus:
* Nuxt.js/Vue.js
* AngularJS 1.x
* Symfony 2+
NOTE: This is an ongoing contract with Upwork corporate.
Selected freelancers will be invited to 3 rounds of interviews, each requiring video, with different members of the team. This will allow us to both evaluate the technical and cultural fit.
