Frontend Developer, JavaScript, React, CSS, UX Design, UX/UI, Software Engineer
Senior Front-end Developer required for our client for an initial 6-month contract. Please note this role is based in Greater Manchester, but offers remote working. This role also falls outside IR35.
The successful software engineer requires a strong focus on Web Front-End experience to join our client's innovative and dynamic developer team, you will contribute to the overall Software Development Life Cycle Process, predominantly from a UI/UX perspective, helping to establish and apply Architectural & Software Engineering principals that ensure products and services developed by the client are fit for purpose.
The successful applicant will be tasked with translating user-centric designs, end user requirements, user stories, service expectations and technical designs into solutions that meet the varying needs of customers.
Key skills & Experience required:
Strong experience working in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment, delivering high-quality products within specific timescales and working alongside architects and other senior StakeholdersExtensive experience working with front end JavaScript frameworks such as React (or other commonly used libraries), CSS, etcExperience keeping up to date with current industry thinking with a strong focus on Web Front-End best practicesExperience implementing Design System components for scalable reuseProvable experience in UX DesignFull working understanding of Accessibility best practices (WCAG 2.x )Knowledge and understanding of testing throughout the software development life cycle and using production metrics to continually improve the quality of serviceProven experience of working within an Agile environment using SCRUM or Kanban with effective CI/CD processes that expedite deliveryPersonal drive to coach junior colleagues & assist the wider team within your knowledge baseExperience with back-end technologies (Go, Spring, Java, Node, PHP, etc)Experience with database solutions (Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB)Experience working with AWS / AzureUnderstanding of serverless technologiesTo find out more information, please apply to the position with an updated copy of your CV.
