CONTRACT JOB: Senior Embedded C Software Engineer, Bare Metal/ RTOS, Cambridge

ROLE: Senior Embedded C Software Engineer
LOCATION: Cambridge
RATE: £45 - 60 per hour
CONTRACT LENGTH: 6 months initially
START DATE: ASAP
THE PROJECT:
A Senior Embedded Software Engineer is required to join an exciting in-flight project working on product development for a wearable device.
You will be joining the team at the beginning stage of a new & enhanced version of my clients current device, where you will have a Lead/ Senior role in the team.
For this role you should be a confident Embedded C programmer who has RTOS or Bare Metal experience. You should have ideally worked on low powered, resource constrained or battery powered products.
Any experience working on products with wireless comms (Bluetooth, BLE, Zigbee etc) or that are designed for a safety regulated industry (where the product must conform to safety coding guidelines such as MISRA) would be desirable.
This is an opportunity to work with some great Engineers on a fast moving project where the attitude of the team is very much to 'work hard but have fun’.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
1. Excellent Embedded C ability
2. RTOS or Bare Metal development
3. Microcontroller/ Microprocessor experience (ARM Cortex ideally)
4. Confident taking ownership of tasks & then running with it
5. A good team player with excellent communication skills. You should be confident in being able to speak with the clients customer on technical level
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
6. Experience working to Safety Coding Standards (such as MISRA)
