Senior DevOps Engineer - Glasgow (Remote)

We are looking for immediately available Senior DevOps Engineers to help a growing team contionue their journey in automation, reliability and performance.

This position will be based in Glasgow and will offer flexible working with an option of some remote working also.

Note: This engagement will be OUTSIDE of IR35

This will be an initial 6 month contract with an optional 6 month extension after review.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will deliver and integrate software to form a complete toolchain. You will also be responsible for planning and designing large groups of stories. You will be responsible for managing the build and deployment of the project through all environments. In addition to this, you will be required to have a deep technical knowledge and experience in DevOps environments, providing support to delivery teams and solving complex problems.

You will work within a collaborative team and you will provide coaching and mentoring to junior colleagues.

Skills and experiences required:

• Can demonstrate practical experience with RedHat/ Amazon Linux, ECS, and EC2
• Experience coding with Python, Ansible.
• Demonstrable experience of using VCS (Version Control System) in team environments. Eg Git, Github, BitBucket.
• Demonstrable Experience delivering CI/CD pipelines, ideally with Jenkins
• Able to demonstrate mentoring colleagues in automation, security, and reliability, within a DevOps context
