A leading media and entertainment company is looking to build out a brand-new Data Engineering team for their Consumer Platform division. This company offers popular live streaming and video content for millions of users across various providers. You will be responsible for making their streaming products more data-driven, solving various data-drive use cases and building out a new core data platform in the cloud.

The ideal candidate will have experience with large scale data systems, cloud optimization, data streaming and big data frameworks. This is a great opportunity to work for a well-established company building out a brand-new platform that will be high traffic. Someone who wants to solve big data problems and have a say in tools being used, this is the role for you!

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience with Software Engineering
  • 3+ years of Data Engineering
  • Expert with Python, Java or Scala
  • Streaming experience with Kafka, Kinesis or similar
  • Experience with Spark, Hive or Flink
  • Database experience with SQL, Cassandra, Dynamo or similar
  • Expert in building large volume data processing (streaming and batch)

    • Desired Skills & Experience

  • AWS Cloud experience
  • Familiarity with Snowflake or Redshift
  • Analytics experience with Looker or Tableau
  • Digital advertising or video streaming

  • Competitive Pay: Up to $90/hour, DOE
  • Contract Duration: 12 Months with the possibility of extension or conversion
