Methods require a Senior Data Architect on 6 month contract basis. The ideal candidate should have previous experience working on a programme within a central government department and delivered the full lifecycle (Discovery, Alpha, Beta, Live).

Role responsibilities:
- Design data models and metadata systems and help the chief architect and business architect to interpret
- business needs
- Provide oversight and advice to other data architects who are undertaking the design of data models and
- support the management of data dictionaries
- Make sure that your teams are working to the standards set for the organisation by the chief architect
- Work with technical architects to make sure that an organisation’s systems are designed in accordance with
- the appropriate data architecture
Skills Required:
- Experience as a Senior Data Architect with the government or public sector environment, having delivered through the full DbDSS lifecycle (Discovery, Alpha, Beta, Live)
- Thought leadership and understanding of Distributed Data Mesh
- Experience with data centric open-source solutions/capabilities including but not limited to Apache Kafka,
- Apache Atlas, Elastic Map reduce (EMR). NoSQL, Redshift, AWS Glue, S3, Athena, Oracle RDBMS etc
- In depth knowledge of public and hybrid cloud service providers Amazon Web Services and Crown Hosting/On-Premise in the context of data centric capabilities leveraging Platform/Software/Function as a Service in conjunction with a Micro Service orientated Architecture (MSoA)
- Experience of leveraging monitoring, logging and alerting in context of data products and data centric systems
- Experience of working with Agile methodologies (a mix of techniques including Scrum and Kanban, on individual projects and at scale) as part of a multi-skilled multi-disciplinary remote team
- Experience in defining, evolving and leading the implementation of strategic architecture initiatives following established enterprise and architecture frameworks such as TOGAF
- Experience of reshaping and re-platforming away from legacy systems as part of technology transformation roadmaps whilst managing technical debt and risk
- Experience of undertaking a detailed, structured analysis of technical issues, translating into technical designs that describe a solution back with transitional stages and roadmaps managing business and technical risk
- Understanding of cyber security issues and security architecture related to cloud and hybrid platforms within secure and compliance driven environments
- Hands-on experience with one or more modern programming language such as Java, Python, Scala, R etc
- Knowledge of configuration management and Infrastructure as Code tooling and principles
- Past experience setting up build pipelines, automated deployments, etc. with Gitlab CI or other CI/CD tools using GitFlow in context of DataOps
- Experience with automated testing, test-driven development and/or behaviour-driven development leveraging the Agile Testing Framework
- Experience architecting solutions with HTTP APIs and RESTful web services in line with the OpenAPI specifications
