Looking for an experienced Python Data Engineer who has previous experience working in an AWS environment!

THE COMPANY:

You will be working for a leading e-commerce company. This company is incredibly data driven and their Data Engineering team offers a chance to work in an extremely agile and innovative environment. The company is currently undergoing a transitionary period in which they are looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer to come on-board to help deliver high performance data applications using cutting edge technology! You will be situated in a modern London office.

THE ROLE:

As a Senior Big Data Engineer, you will be involved in working with third party teams to help them integrate and use the company's own advanced data platform. You must be highly proficient in Python coding as well as had prior experience with Big Data tools such as Scala and Spark. The company has an AWS platform and therefore you must have a deep knowledge of AWS' primary components such as S3, Redshift and Lambda. As you will be coming in a senior capacity you will be expected to mentor and lead other more junior members of the team.

• Working in an AWS environment to help external teams use the data platform
• Using Python for high level coding
• Helping to engineer the legacy server onto a Cloud platform
• Mentoring more junior Data Engineers

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

The successful Senior Big Data Engineer will have the following skills and experience:

• Exposure to Spark and Scala
• Great knowledge of AWS
• Extensive experience programming in Python
• Good exposure to testing practices

THE BENEFITS:

This role offers a very competitive rate of £650 per day.
