Senior Automation Tester (Java)
A global corporation that operates in over 50 countries and has over 77,000 employees is currently seeking a hand on Senior Automation Engineer with strong capabilities in Java/Selenium and DeVops.
This is a 6 month contract, £500 per day OUTSIDE IR 35 and FULLY REMOTE.
You will be responsible for:
• Implementing an automation test strategy from start
• Testing using automation testing tools i.e., Serenity BDD, Selenium (IDE, RC, Web driver & Grid)
• Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures
• Documenting software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers and project managers.
• Programming and Coding through Debugging of software.
Technical skills:
• Must have hands on exp in Selenium (IDE, RC, Web driver & Grid), Junit, Testng, Java Framework
• Excellent knowledge of QA methods and practices in agile environment
• Strong experience writing and executing detailed test cases, test plans and test design documents for back and front end testing
• Ability to understand and analyze the testing requirements of the project
• Must have Programming skills in Java/Core Java, Knowledge of concepts like file handling, exception handling, database operations and OOPS concepts.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and automation (Maven, Jenkins, Ant, Git etc.)
• Experience with toolset: Postman, JIRA, Test Management (TestFlo), IDEs
• Exposure to cloud technologies (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) and Containerization (EKS, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Agile practices (SCRUM, Kanban)
• Experience with DevOps practices
• Analytical skills
Candidate specification:
• University degree in Computer Science/Information Systems
• 5 years of experience in IT technology
• 2 years of significant experience in systems integrations technologies area
• Understanding key processes in technology delivery
• Exposure to international environment (B2C or B2B companies)
• Strong communication capabilities
