ROLE: Senior Android Developer

LOCATION: Glasgow

RATE: £400-500 per day

CONTRACT LENGTH: 6 month initially

START DATE: asap

THE ROLE:
You will be tasked with developing an Android application from concept stage. You therefore must be comfortable architecting the design of the app and then developing the solution.

The android app that you will develop will be connecting with an embedded software device via low power wireless protocols (such as Bluetooth, BLE or WiFi). Any experience working on Android apps that communicate with RF related devices would therefore be highly desirable.

The purpose of the app is to provide a game changing solution to a fleet management/ delivery tracking related system, allowing the customer to keep updated with information.

The mobile app will communicate with a backend PC system to update all the information that is inputted and collected via the app.

This is a chance to work on very exciting project development at the very beginning.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Excellent Android app development experience
• Experience developing Android apps from concept stage. Architecting experience is desirable.
• Java
• Kotlin

DESIRABLE EXPEREINCE:

• Developing apps that communicate with electronic/ embedded software devices via Bluetooth, BLE or WiFi.
