Security Architect (Remote)

WCI, Inc. is seeking a qualified Security Architect to provide leadership on best practices for security, risk assessment and mitigation strategies, choice and implementation of security products, creating incident management plans, and communicating security posture to business stakeholders. This is a limited term, contract position.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and define best practices for cloud-based system and application security during the design and implementation
• Perform application risk profile assessment for an enterprise platform, and provide mitigation plans to address such risks
• Lead effort in identifying threats, assessing risks, and recommending best practice solutions to mitigate cybersecurity threats
• Develop security practices across application layers to ensure security of project systems and data
• Develop controls to ensure adherence to established security and development standards
• Make recommendations and help deploy security and monitoring tools
• Work with the technology team to create incident management plan
• Direct operations team to configure and operate security products
• Define methods for real-time event monitoring, alert generation and alert processing Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field
• 8+ years of experience in an information security role
• Strong knowledge and understanding of current and emerging cyber security threats, vulnerabilities, trends and mitigations ranging across the technologies required to provide layered defense is required
• Must be able to communicate cyber security viewpoint to technical and non-technical audience both verbally and in writing
• Expertise in various cloud security controls and architecture design aspects around identity and access management, RBAC, SSO, Federation, access governance
• Experience implementing security solutions for cloud
• Broad understanding of information security architecture principles
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Proficiency with office software, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project, Visio, and SharePoint Desired Qualifications

• CISA / CISM / CISSP / CRISC
• Experience working with governmental agencies
• Experience in data processing frameworks such as Spark and MapReduce and data streaming such as Kafka preferred
