Tagence is seeking a certified Scrum Master with experience driving development teams and providing effective coordination to efficiently reach development, project, and contract goals. This person will interface with a small and nimble team, our company leadership, project manager, as well as clients and stakeholders. Candidate should be knowledgeable about software development and various methodologies from traditional SDLC to Agile development/Lean practices. Project Role

The Scrum Master will interact with key members of the project and client team. They will facilitate the agile process. Key to their role is identifying and escalating impediments, managing risks, promoting architectural strength, design and configuration while driving continuous improvement and moving tasks toward completion. The Scrum Master will skillfully coordinate, manage, and facilitate the team to maintain alignment with the product development strategy and other client and contract priorities. This position is responsible for managing dependencies between the project team and third parties, release managers, or between the project team and other development teams. In coordination with the project manager, the Scrum Master will contribute content and communicate the development status to stakeholders. This position will promote the adherence to Agile software development best practices.

Required Skills

Possess and maintain a current Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certificate from the Scrum Alliance or a Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certificate from Scrum.org

Software development and/or project management experience, in a professional environment using Agile methodologies

5+ years of technology or software/SaaS industry experience including at least 3 years of experience as a CSM or PSM on a software development project

Understanding of backlog tracking, burn down metrics, velocity, and task definition

Large/enterprise application development experience using Agile methodologies

Strong leadership, time management, conflict resolution, and analytical skills

Able to act as servant leader at the project level

Expertise in the Agile development methodology

Establish and maintain release and sprint cadence

Implemented scrum events, bi-weekly sprints, six-month releases via a prioritized capability backlog with stakeholders

Ability to monitor, maintain, scrub sprint backlog

Experienced using Agile with Scrum and have participated in the software development life cycle from requirement analysis and design to development, testing, and implementation.

Develop and maintain metrics and sprint reporting, as required

Excellent analytical, multitasking and communication skills

Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Ability to translate client needs to leadership and team, with an eye toward resourcing and excellence in delivery

Ability to document solutions and provide feedback to team members and clients on appropriate design and requirement needs

Technology Skills

Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint

Experience with Atlassian Tools such as Jira and Confluence preferred

Coding background in ASP.NET, C#, PowerShell

Other Requirements

Ability to infuse an Agile Culture to client work environment, that include repeatable, mature, modern software delivery practices

Work Location and Travel

Company headquarters is in Leesburg, VA. Some travel may be required by Tagence, including local travel to client site in Washington DC and at a minimum two trips to VA field locations.
