Scrum Master (Remote)

The Company:  Async-Nu Microsystems is looking for a Scrum Master to support a potential contract with the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s (AHRQ) in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. 
 
This is a full-time position with benefits.  Salary range is 100-112k.  The place of work will be located at 5600 Fishers Lane, Rockville, MD, but will also provide opportunities for remote work. 

The Background:   AHRQ is seeking to maintain and enhance agency production systems as well as the architectural, engineering, configuration management, and hosting services needed to support those systems. There is a need for application development, operations and maintenance, and testing and deployment of complex technologies into the existing IT environment. 

The Position: The Scrum Master will be a team lead that utilizes best practices in project management and agile methodologies to manage a team of computer programmers, database administrators, developers, and software architects.

The Scrum Master will be instrumental in the development and implementation of a robust web-based system. The project shall follow an Agile development process. The scrum master will help facilitate the support for application development, operations and maintenance, and testing and deployment of complex technologies into the existing IT environment.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance

• Certified and experienced Scrum Master, CSP or PMI-ACP

• Minimum of seven (7) years of project management experience; 5 of which include successful implementation of software development and agile development projects

• Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing

• 2-5 years’ experience delivering software using an Agile framework (e.g. Scrum, Extreme Programming, Kanban), preferably in a key delivery role (Scrum Master, Product Owner, Technology Lead, Solution Architect, etc.)Minimum of seven (7) years of communication experience - facilitating meetings and presentations and writing project documentation

• Familiar with CMMI and QA best practices

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to make informed decisions

• Strong project management and organizational skills

• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

• Documents specifications, reflecting a complete understanding of the customer's requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or related field.

• 508 compliance experience

Salary range (100k-112k)
