Job Description

CACI is pursuing the prime contract for a large-scale integration and development transformation program that will offer significant growth opportunity for candidates. This position will be a unique and exciting career opportunity that will involve the integration, development, and deployment of enterprise wide systems involving COTS ERP, SaaS solutions, mobile solutions, and enterprise data analytics in a state-of-the-art Agile development environment. The transformation and integration of over 50 legacy systems to ERP and SaaS solutions will be a monumental technical experience for this position. In addition, the resulting solution will deliver direct support to our Navy Sailors and their families.

We are looking for experienced Agile Scrum Masters with both strong Agile Scrum delivery skills and project facilitation experience. They will interface with client personnel and use oral and written communications skills to develop great working relationships with stakeholders including customer Product Owners. This position is responsible for ensuring that all assigned work activities are performed in a timely and cost-effective manner while maintaining the highest quality of performance.

The Scrum Master is the authorized interface with project stakeholders including government personnel and customer agency representatives. Responsible for facilitating delivery of customer-defined software development projects; basic responsibilities include:

  • Serving as Scrum Master for a development or integration scrum team with a focus on guiding the teams toward improving the way they work; facilitating sprint planning, retrospective and demos
  • Acting as product manager and assisting the product owner and business analyst with managing the product backlog
  • Removing all obstacles to project team efficiency and effectiveness; reaching out to the larger organizational network for impediment removal; ensuring cross-team coordination
  • Maintaining relevant metrics that help the team see how they are doing
  • Partnering to ensure that our ways of working are consistent across teams
  • Liaising between developers and project stakeholders; fostering quality communication between engineering disciplines
  • Taking responsibility for managing product releases and dependencies between teams and third parties or between assigned teams and other Scrum teams • Managing and tracking project finances for the respective product family
  • Supporting development of product roadmaps
  • Strengthening the presence of the team as an Agile center of excellence. Actively contributing to the organization Agile Community
  • Analyzing new and complex project-related problems and creating innovative solutions involving finance, scheduling, technology, methodology, tools and solution components
  • Ensuring appropriate staffing for assigned projects or tasks; developing personnel
  • Providing appropriate oversight to engineers, analysts, and support personnel
  • Scheduling and allocating work, providing advice and guidance, and resolving problems to meet technical performance and financial objectives
  • Developing new and refining existing process to enhance quality and productivity
  • Reviewing and evaluating work of staff and preparing periodic performance reports
  • Ensuring product quality and timeliness of efforts

Requirements:

  • College degree (B.S..) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline. Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 5 or more years related technical experience
  • Certified Scrum Master/Scrum Practitioner or SAFe Agilist with significant experience with Scrum teams and use of continuous integration tools and techniques in test-driven development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Business Analyst and or software development background, with a minimum of three (3) solid years’ experience supporting the SDLC
  • Understanding of all elements of the software development life cycle, including planning, development, requirements management, configuration management, quality assurance, and release management
  • US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

Desired Skills:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Previous experience with Oracle PeopleSoft, Salesforce, or ServiceNow platforms
  • Domain expertise in Human Capital Management Systems
  • Understanding of Navy Manpower, Personnel, Training and Education business processes and application systems
  • Previous experience delivering IT solutions for the US Navy • Experience with test automation techniques and tools
  • Experience with building in software security (BSIMM, security touchpoints)
  • Experience with continuous deployment models and Agile Methodologies
  • Ability to apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts, and contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas
  • Experience working on unusually complicated problems and providing solutions that are highly creative and ingenious, exhibiting ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness
