SAS Technical Consultant

Job Description

We are looking for an expert SAS programmer in Base SAS to assist with development of models, data validation and testing and building reports using SAS tools and applications.

Summary:

The SAS consultant will be working with our loss forecasting team to develop models, modify/change existing code and take it through the development life cycle (design, build, test, support)

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering or a related field with 5 years of work experience

* Minimum of 2 years of experience developing code using Base SAS

* Participated in the development life cycle of at least 1-2 models end-to-end (build, test, validate & monitor)

* Deep expertise, knowledge and experience in SAS products and SQL programming

* Understanding of SAS products, data structures and programming technologies

* Strong technical writing skill with excellent business communications

Desired Characteristics

* Experience in Financial services industry preferred

* Familiarity with SAS Visual analytics & SAS applications (e.g. MIP, RFW, IRM) is a plus

* Unix/Linux, ETL and data warehousing experience in support of BI and reporting systems

* Experience with relational & multi-dimensional databases and data management tools

* Advanced report design and build experience
