Ruby on Rails Developer (Remote)

Job functions
- Perform design, prototyping, system analysis, development, and maintenance of systems
- Design and implement clean and scalable APIs and data models
- Work with our amazing Quality Engineers as needed on automated testing
- Ensure code quality with the team (writing tests, code reviews)
- Mentoring junior developers
- And, of course, code!
Qualifications - External
Skills required
- 5+ years of Ruby on Rails experience
- 1+ years JavaScript framework experience (Angular, React, etc.)
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Demonstrated experience with Ruby on Rails as a programming platform to develop multi-tier web-based applications
- Desire to expand knowledge in many development languages, applications, and tools
- Willingness to learn some or all of the technologies listed in this posting!
Experience with some or all of the following is considered a bonus:
- Docker and container orchestration
- Java & Spring Boot
- Cloud-based infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- CI/CD experience (TeamCity, Jenkins)
- Database/key-value store technologies (Redis, MySQL, MariaDB) experience

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• React.js or Angular: 1 year (Required)
