12 month contract for a 100% remote Software Engineer to work on new product development!
This exciting opportunity will require selected candidate to be a Subject Matter Expert and help integrate game engines into non-gaming applications for an Aerospace company.
Required Experience:
- 5+ years experience building or working with modern game engines such as Unreal Engine 4, Unity, etc relevant to Windows-based platforms with PC gaming cards, XR headsets, Android mobile devices
- Strong C++ interface knowledge, Blueprints, optimal data formats, Unreal plugin architecture, use of custom shaders with HLSL, SPIR-V or GLSL for application-specific effects
- Deep architectural understanding of modern game engines including threading model, efficient level-streaming for open-world support.
- 5+ years experience in working with real-time graphics APIs such as OpenGL, DirectX or Vulkan
- Experience with soft real-time systems, and a desire to work on design challenges that may require novel solutions
- Knowledge of simulation and training systems a strong plus, such as vehicle and flight simulators
- Comfortable working in R&D Agile dynamic team trying to solve novel problems
- Ability to meet ITAR requirements
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience working on low latency real-time graphics and rendering pipeline optimization
- Profiling tools such as RenderDoc, Tracy, GPU Profiler
- Knowledge of cloud-native design a plus, especially related to gaming, including microservices and serverless architectures, Amazon Web Services and/or Microsoft Azure, DevOps/DevSecOps principles
