Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Lead Engineer. This is a remote position. You must be willing to submit and successfully complete Government Agency Clearance request. Applicants must be eligible to work in a FEDERAL CLIENT position of Public Trust This person is responsible for helping to ensure that all Managed Enterprise Services customer data are protected and secure from any unauthorized access in its systems environment. This person will establish the overall data/Wi-Fi architecture goals and policies for specified customers and ensure adherence in working with program, service management and sales engineering support teams to document data/Wi-Fi expectations and an overall plan of migration milestones and timelines. Individual shall be the main point of contact for all security issues resolution, security management, Certification and Accreditation, and other security support which touches the customer facing systems.

Daily Responsibilities include:

•Provide lead level technical support to include remote trouble diagnostics and full restoration.

•Assist with answering customer calls during overflow/outage situations.

•Actively work with local exchange carriers to ensure current services are active and restored within the Service Level Agreements

•Perform network site implementation/acceptance and activations as requested by Federal clients.

•Prepare routing/switching equipment for customer site move/add/deletes

•Ensure all router configurations are built to comply with Customer Technical Design templates and internal standard requirements.

•Keep the project team updated with daily progress reports on any assigned actions.

•Isolate layer 1 problems on the customer's DS0, DS1 and DS3 circuits on the IP platform, VPN and MPLS Networks.

•Solve complex problems by substantial evaluation, analysis and modification or adaptation of advanced techniques.

•Assume accountability as a resource for decisions required across multiple functional segments. Individual reduces adverse impacts to service, cost, due dates and identifies inefficiencies. Provides near term focus of resolution of immediate issues. In addition, provides long term or strategic solutions.

•Provide primary engineering design and configuration (test and production) for data/voice network elements in line with customer goals and requirements.

•Lead team efforts and discussions to better overall team and contract effectiveness.

•Lead data and voice communications projects with the goal of improving or expanding the current infrastructure.

•Identify capacity and performance issues for communications traffic to ensure continued, uninterrupted operation of all failed systems.

•Act as liaison between customer, internal security teams and other network vendors (e.g. Cisco, Aruba, Viptela) on high-level support issues.

•Provide independent verification and validation testing of software prior to Day 2 implementation and acceptance.

•Take full ownership and accountability in areas assigned. Takes independent action and rarely requires guidance, often proactively take the lead on technical issues/concerns.

Minimum Requirements

•Must be willing to submit and successfully complete Government Agency Clearance request. Applicants must be eligible to work in a FEDERAL CLIENT position of Public Trust

•CCNP or higher Cisco Certification required

•10 + years of experience troubleshooting production equipment such as Cisco, Juniper & Alcatel routers.

•Experience providing independent verification and validation testing of software prior to Day 2 implementation and acceptance.

•Experience providing primary engineering design and configuration (test and production) for data/voice network elements in line with customer goals and requirements.

•Ability to ensure all router configurations are built to comply with Customer Technical Design templates and internal standard requirements.

•Experience performing network site implementations and activations

-Must have worked in Telecom previously (AT&T, Verizon, Charter, Comcast, ect.)

Desired Skills

•Preferred Certified Professional system certification in either product line (Solarwinds, Gemaolto, TripWire, Trend Micro or Splunk).

•Preferred familiarization with A-10, Gigamon, Ixia or FireEye technologies
