The Role As a key contributor to the Xylem Vue team, you will serve as a Front End Engineer to play a pivotal role in driving excellence and best practices for the Software Engineering function in Xylem, with a specialty in providing automated solutions to support our advanced Web API applications. This is a contract to hire (C2H) position Job Responsibilities bull Participate in the development process from definition to deployment. bull Develop cutting-edge technologies to improve Xylem Vuersquos software offering. bull Maintain and improve existing cloud-based applications, reducing costs and streamlining efficiency. bull Engineer code that is efficient, standard and well documented. bull Take on challenging tasks as needed with an eagerness to develop skills in new areas. bull Bring to the job an excitement and work ethic on par for established or startup technology firm. Requirements bull BS in Computer Science or related field. bull 5+ yearrsquos minimum of HTMLCSSJavaScript development in a team environment. bull Proven ability to develop front end user experiences without service-side templates bull Experience designing and deploying REST services bull Experience with JavaScript frameworks React and Angular 7+ bull Experience integrating JavaScript visualization tools such as Highcharts, D3 or similar bull Experience integrating with generic web services such as Google Maps, weather services, etc. bull Experience building new applications with server-side developers bull Experience collaborating on interface definitions with tools such as SwaggerOpenAPI bull Experience deploying to cloud services such as AWS Cloudfront or similar bull Experience with visualizing and interacting with large data sets from the client bull Experience visualizing time series data bull Experience with the Full SDLC process bull Experience with interviewing users to confirm Front End design
