Description:
Join the team that is building the website and apps that sell the World's Greatest Chicken. We cook chicken fresh, from scratch, in all 4,000 of our US restaurants, and we build our own technology to sell it. If you're interested in cooking finger-lickin' good tech, our kitchen is the place you want to be. You'll build the website and app, integrate it with our commerce platform back-end and partner platforms, and improve all the tooling that bring it all together.
Job Responsibilities:
* Web & mobile development (80%)
o Full stack application development (from front-end client facing apps to API driven back-end code)
o Implement continuous integration and delivery efforts to ensure we're constantly promoting quality code
o Refine application architecture in a cost-effective way to meet the organization's changing business requirements while continuing to meet service level agreements (SLAs) for availability and performance.
o Stay current on implementation technologies, best practices, and skills for application delivery success.
o Document and communicate updated architectural patterns, component design, and development processes.
o Develop and deliver high quality applications that meet the requirements provided by the broader team
o Implement vendor solutions, specifically around ecommerce and delivery
* Cross-functional team interaction (20%)
o Work with business area teams to help translate mockups into working prototypes and help determine development effort required
o Be an advocate for ways in which web and mobile technologies can improve our restaurants, both for our customers and our team members
o Provide code review for junior developers by suggesting improvements and best practices
o Manage complexity of working on, or supporting, multiple projects at a time
Knowledge & Skills Required:
* Education/Certifications BS in Computer Engineering or equivalent experience * Experience
o Years of Experience
2-3 years React or React Native experience
5+ years of JavaScript experience
o Knowledge and application of sound SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) methodologies
o Experience with relational or non-relational databases
o Experience with TypeScript and querying GraphQL
o Foundational knowledge of systems design and application architecture
o Experience implementing or integrating CI/CD processes
o Performance testing, profiling and tuning
o Experience with Terraform and Next.js a plus
o Knowledge of cloud-based architectures preferred
