Best in Grow is a technology startup based in Boulder, CO in the cannabis industry. We are building a software platform that connects retailers, frontline employees, and brands to share knowledge, streamline organizational communication, and drive the industry forward.
We are building big data with front end applications and a cloud infrastructure to support it -- all using modern front-end and back-end technologies.

About You
You are a highly motivated software engineer ready to work on a growing development building a software platform from the ground up. You can adapt quickly and easily as priorities change in this fast-paced startup environment and enjoy rapid iteration without sacrificing quality, as we take on a variety of different problems and technologies. You are willing to learn skills, you can give and receive feedback, and are willing to teach others as our team grows.
You must be a United States citizen currently located within the United States.
About the Job
We are looking to add a new long-term member to our team but we are open to contracting, contract-to-hire, as well direct full time employment. We offer a competitive benefits package to our full time employees that includes vacation, healthcare, etc... Contract-to-hire paths would ideally include a 3 month introductory contracting period leading to a full time offer. The contracting rate for this position is between $70 and $90 per hour and the full time salary for this position is between $95k and 110k with equity options available.
About the Position
You will be responsible for maintaining existing features in our existing platform as well as implementing new features end-to-end.
Responsibilities:
- Writing clean code -- Javascript, Typescript, JSX
- Troubleshooting, testing, and debugging new and existing systems
- Deploying to live environments
- Building and publishing releases
- Implementing features according to specification
- Complying with established policies and patterns adopted by the team
Must Have
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience building web applications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or relevant field)
- Strong understanding of the fundamentals of building software
- Expert knowledge of Javascript, CSS, and React
- Expert knowledge and experience developing front-end web technology
- Experience developing production quality front-end web applications with React
- Basic understanding of standard development tools such as version control, command line interfaces, project management, etc...
Nice to Haves
- Strong knowledge and understanding of cloud software architecture
- Knowledge and/or experience deploying backend web applications on a modern cloud platform
- Knowledge and/or experience building backend-end web technology
- Basic understanding of big data
