Python Developer

An opportunity to work for one of the UK's largest retail brands as Python Developer! The grocery mogul is looking for an experienced Python Developer to work on the engineering of their nationwide applications and services using Python, Flask, Django, REST and Unit Testing.

THE COMPANY:

A major retail client dominating the UK market with over 1,000 branches in the UK. They have a moderate sized software developer team across multiple platforms and technologies creating modern solutions to fit the ever changing requirements. This opportunity will look impressive on every CV!

THE ROLE:

This is a Python Developer role perfect for someone with strong commercial experience and past history in software engineering. You will be working alongside the other developers to engineer web based application to be used across 24 countries by over 6 million customers. You will be predominately using Python, Flask, Django, REST and Unit Testing.

The main responsibilities of the software developer are:

• Writing clean and pure code in Python and Django code
• Developing web applications from scratch for a greenfield project
• Work collaboratively with other developers to enhance existing applications
• Work alongside the Software Engineering and Data Engineering team to develop, deploy and integrate new applications

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 4 years of commercial experience coding with Python, Django, Flask and Unit Testing
• Knowledge of other coding languages outside of Python such as Java or C#
• Proven exposure of working with RESTful services for deployment
• Experience using version control systems such as Git
• Knowledge of AWS or other Cloud Computing platforms
• Eligibility to work within the UK (this role does not provide any sponsorship)
