Project Manager (Back Office Banking Applications, SDLC) required to work for a leading global
Financial Services organisation based in the City of London for an initial 6 months.

Main Purpose of the Role:
This role requires management of projects, reporting to the Programme Manager. The projects will sit within the systems office for EMEA, and is based in the London headquarters.

The Project Manager drives key technology projects within the programme, ensuring that the bank delivers new and enhanced functionality to enable growth and minimise risk.
  • Manage head office, Human resources, Finance projects system and interfaces to the banking system, shared environments and cloud.
  • Management and reporting to senior level state holders across multiple geographies and diverse cultures.
  • Deliver Regulatory projects with hard deadlines.
  • Management several complex projects with internal and external interdependencies.
  • Management of external vendors and consultants
Skills and Experience
Functional / Technical Competencies:
  • Understanding HR, Finance functions and regulatory requirements.
  • Understanding of data and financial reconciliations
  • Understanding of data migration, data governance and data profiling.
  • Understanding of interfaces and legacy system migrations
  • Understanding of SDLC and RAID process.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing desirable
  • Good technical knowledge of applications and LAN, WAN Infrastructure in general
  • Experience of working on regulatory projects
  • Strong project management and leadership capability
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work on own without direction.
  • Ability to forecast and manage project budget
Work Experience:
  • 10+ years of project delivery experience at senior level across multiple geographies and diverse cultures.
  • Experience in managing several complex projects with internal and external interdependencies.
  • Management of external vendors and consultants
Education / Qualifications:
  • Degree or equivalent experience
  • Current Prince II Practitioner (or equivalent)
