Sheffield 650-750 Per Day 6 Months Contract- extensions likely
A Programme Manager is required for my Global Financial Services client based in Sheffield on an initial 6 Months contract. You will be required to play a pivotal role for the delivery of a new cloud based architecture for the Global Finance function. You will work with engineering teams, Finance Change Delivery and external cloud providers such as Google and MS Azure. The role includes migration of existing finance functions from on-premises platforms plus the delivery of new cloud-based capabilities such as Machine Learning. You will need to communicate effectively with a wide range of project stakeholders and partners, ranging from engineers to executives.
Key Responsibilities:
· Programme/Project management. Translates business objectives into high level project and programme plans, agrees priorities and sets out roadmap for project delivery. Reviews plans from various work streams and addresses any potential conflict for resource, interlocks, delivery risk.
· Change & implementation management. Defines and plans the end-to-end change approach accurately.
· Ensures that all project managers are responsible for the end-to-end components of the change journey, including defining and implementing the necessary mitigation plan for any risks/issues.
· Demonstrates good knowledge of Programme Management Methodology, supporting the creation and consolidation of plans including key activities and milestones, risks and issues.
· Manages expectations, results and impact of agreed outcomes, thinking ahead to identify and overcome potential issues.
· Manages overall programme plan, monitoring progress, resolving issues or conflicts between sub workstreams and analysing risks that may compromise timely delivery or benefits realisation.
· Produces and uses management information to improve project/programme quality and efficiency.
· Demonstrate and apply comprehensive business domain knowledge across the finance function.
