Hello folks, my name is Danny. I'm building up a brand and design team at Candid, a wholesale/FinTech startup in PDX. We're looking for a mid-level product designer to help us quickly iterate and ship a clear and functional MVP feature set. Full-time preferred, but contract works too if you're a good fit.
Generally speaking, we are creating a purchasing command center for local retail buyers to help them buy intelligently, and stay on top of their business. Some core functions we're aiming to launch:
THE CHALLENGE
- Create a budget & see their current status
- Create orders and send them to their vendors
- Receive orders and add them to their POS systems
- Track performance of orders and vendors over time
- Create, along with brand design, the visual design system and brand experience in our product
YOU ARE
- Mid-levelish: you are 3-5 years into the game
- 50/50 UX/UI is great — we need a bit of both
- FinTech x e-commerce experience is great
- Have a portfolio of work on a website
- Love collaborating with brand design in real-time to define the brand design and experience IN product.
- Love Figma
- Experience with quick prototyping and testing w/ user
- Highly developed communication skills, written and verbal
- Have experience leading user tests. Even quick informal
SCOPE
- Product launches April 2021
- Can be remote (we're currently all working remotely anyway due to COVID)
- Full time, contract to hire, or just contract are all fine
- Estimate: 70% UX + 30% UI
