Your new role
My client requires a data visualisation developer with PowerBI skills to develop critical dashboards to support delivery, focusing initially on corporate dashboards working within core delivery teams and interaction designers

What you'll need to succeed
- Data visualisation. You know how to use the most appropriate medium to visualise data to tell compelling and actionable stories relevant for business goals. You can present, communicate and disseminate data appropriately and with high impact.
- Power BI experience. You have expertise in developing user-friendly interactive visualisations in Power BI reports and dashboards, as well as experience of data preparation and transformation in Power Query using M. You know how to shape underlying data models and relationships and can build efficient DAX calculations and measures.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills. You understand and can help teams apply a range of methods to analyse data and synthesise findings. You know how to engage sceptical colleagues in analysis and synthesis. You can advise on the choice and application of techniques and can critique colleagues' findings to assure best practice.
- Communication skills. You know how to listen to the needs of the technical and business stakeholders and explain them to each other. You can manage stakeholders' expectations. You are flexible and capable of proactive and reactive communication. You know how to facilitate difficult discussions within your team or with diverse senior stakeholders.
- Logical and creative thinking skills. You can ensure that the most appropriate actions are taken to resolve problems as they occur.
- User focus. You can identify needs and engage with users or stakeholders to collate user needs evidence. You understand and can define research that fits user needs. You can use quantitative and qualitative data about users to turn user focus into outcomes.
