Role: Google Cloud Engineer/ Lead

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Leading consulting and delivery for migration of data assets, tools and technologies from legacy systems/data platforms to Google cloud platform. Be a thought partner to clients and lead them in this transformation journey
Responsibilities:
Drive deployment and increase the consumption of solutions related to cloud data and analytics services, including SQL Database, NoSQL databases, SQL Data Warehouse, Big Data processing, Machine Learning, and Stream Analytics
Establish deep relationships with key decision makers, who drive long-term cloud data adoption as mean to resolve business problems within their company
Lead mapping of business/ industry solution goals & requirements to cloud based architecture and data technology solutions while taking a systems-wide view of the customers existing solution data landscape
Architect scalable data processing and analytics solutions, including technical feasibility and proposal development for Big Data storage, processing and consumption (e.g., development of enterprise Data Lake strategy, heterogeneous data management, Polyglot Persistence, decision support/BI over Data Lake)
Design, coordinate and execute pilots, prototypes or proof of concepts, provide validation on specific scenarios
Provide subject matter expertise around technical infrastructure and applications
Define the business case for solutions, design the solution to help prototype and develop the customers new environment, and guide the solution through launch to market
Demonstrate thought leadership in cloud computing across multiple channels and become a trusted advisor to decision makers
Qualification & Experience:
Strong competency in data modeling and data design. This includes logical and physical modeling, partitioning strategies for large tables, and other database optimizations
Solid experience with Relational Databases, specifically SQL Server and Sybase, Data Warehousing, OLAP, and Business Intelligence Reporting. Must be able to write PL/SQL Stored Procedures
Solid understanding of pros and cons for different data warehouse methodologies and architectures (Kimball/Inmon/Data Lake/Hybrid)
Experience designing Star, Snowflake Schemas, Dimensional Data Modeling, SCD (Slowly Changing Dimensions), and CDC (Change Data Capture) preferably using SSIS
Exposure to emerging data technologies such as NoSQL; must understand them sufficiently to guide the organization in understanding and adopting them
Passion for educating, training, designing, and building cloud computing systems for a diverse and challenging set of customers to success
7+ years of experience in technology consulting and cloud implementation experience, preferably in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) stack
