PHP Developer (Remote)

My client, a digital agency based in Horsham, is looking for a Full-Stack PHP Developer to join their business. This is a remote role with occasional travel to their Horsham office if required. Contract to perm would be considered for the right candidate.

Overview

My client is looking for a full-stack web developer with a solid background in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript and CSS with a particular focus on WordPress. The ideal candidate would be capable of taking a set of visual designs and business requirements and build a bespoke WordPress site from scratch with many outside the box features.

Working remotely, the successful candidate will be expected to be self-motivated and operate as part of a team, so will need an understanding of version control and be able to manage their own development environment.

Required Experience

• Experience with PHP, Javascript, CSS and MySQL
• Experience building bespoke WordPress themes and plugins
• Experience with ReactJS and Bootstrap
• Some experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel
• Experience using git, npm and composer
• Ability to configure and operate a local PHP development environment
• Confidence working with a command line and an understanding of Linux and
• Good basic knowledge of user interface design, SEO and digital marketing

Responsibilities

• Advise and lead the development on large Wordpress projects
• Work to set protocols to ensure project consistency and QA
• Work with the Project Manager to achieve milestone delivery within projects
• Advise and lead the development on large Wordpress projects
• Report back best practice and refinements for continuous improvement
