An incredibly exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Performance Tester to work for a prestigious client based in Andover, Hampshire.

*ACTIVE SC CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE*

Whilst working on the client site, the primary objectives of the Performance Test Specialist are:

• Create Performance Test Strategy
• Undertake a Proof of Concept to establish tools and approach
• Work within Agile teams early in the Project Lifecycle to undertake performance test activities
• Produce Workload Analysis Document/Performance Test Design and Performance Test Scripts from project non functional specifications
• Review non functional specifications to verify that they are unambiguous and testable
• Execute the performance tests prescribed within the Workload Analysis Document/Performance
• Test Design and document any deviation from the test scenarios as originally defined
• Generating test data for load testing
• Log the results of the tests and present any extrapolation required to indicate how the application may perform in production environment
• Document defects discovered during the running of the tests
• Work with Technical Lead and Agile teams to rectify issues encountered during testing and tune the application performance
• Retest any defects raised and fixed
• Reporting Progress
• Summarise performance testing in the Performance Test Evaluation report

Technology Skills:

• Expertise in Performance Testing Tools and Techniques: such as LoadRunner, Eggplant, JMeter, BlazeMeter and NeoLoad
• Experience of APEX and .NET based applications is preferred
• Knowledge of networks, including load-balancing, proxies and Firewalls
• The ability to perform and report on a Proof of Concept and tool selection exercise
• Code development in the language of the chosen tool
• Web/API/Mobile technologies and Basic SQL
• Ability to build complete test tool infrastructure
• Understanding of operating system/cloud environment/database environment
