OSISoft PI Engineer (Remote)

We are looking for an OSI PI Data Engineer to work for our client in San Francisco, California. Prior experience with the below skillset mandatory. This position allows remote work as well.

Duration: 12+ months

Required Skillset

• OSISoft PI
• RDBMS
• ETL and SSIS (no SSIS is fine, as long they have ETL)
• Data Analytics
• Data Quality

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Business, Engineering, Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent
• 5-7 years of mixed experience in OSISoft PI – architecture, development, system administration and end-use
• 3-5 years of experience in analyzing data and presenting the results
• 3-5 years of experience in using relational databases – DML, DDL, DCL and TCL
• 3-5 years of experience in developing and maintaining ETL jobs
• 3-5 years of experience with SSIS
• 1-3 years of experience with SSRS or Power BI
• 1-3 years of experience within any area of Electric Operations in the electric utility industry
• 1-3 years of experience in data quality improvement, especially in detecting data quality issues in OSI PI data
• Ability to work independently and to take accountability
• Ability to be creative
• Ability to communicate in a brief and to the point manner
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SQL

Desired

• 3-5 years of experience within any area of Electric Operations in the electric utility industry
• 3-5 years of experience with scripting languages such as R, python, powershell Responsibilities
• Understand user requirements
• Understand the data in the different data sources
• Develop and maintain (issue resolution and enhancement) ETL jobs from various systems including OSI PI into MS SQL Server
• Develop and maintain (issue resolution and enhancement) analytical reports
• Come up with innovative ideas to solve business problems using data
• Document all work
