Summary:
This position requires a BA/BS in computer science or equivalent experience, and more than 5 years professional software development experience in scripting language, including minimum of 5 years' experience with Oracle.

Technical working knowledge:

• Hands-on working knowledge on the Unix environment (SVN, Unix Shell, Unix Profile Setup) and Unix-based Oracle SQLPlus environments
• Strong working knowledge in RDBMS Oracle (PL/SQL Procedure/Package, SQL Tuning, SQL queries, error handling)
• Solid knowledge on Oracle catalog tables and RDBMS basic components
• Hands-on working knowledge in the preparation of database deployment scripts and instructions
• Working knowledge with Java and JDBC interface.

General knowledge:

• Data Modeling for both logical and physical models with some tools such as ERWin or ERStudio
• Design experiences for both UI component and Batch processes to achieve best throughput, performance tuning of queries and Databases.

Perform full life-cycle activities in projects which will include:
1. Work with enterprise architect to provide system architecture design documentation
2. Drive the detail technical design
3. Assistant project and development managers to define the scope and develop plan for the project deliverables
4. Lead the development team to execute the Database development plan
5. Accountable for specific development tasks
6. Accountable for meeting the milestones set for the project
7. Conduct code review, unit testing and integration testing
8. Document system design, data models, and work directly with DBA staff to implement the DB changes in the various tiers.
