Oracle Developer required to work with a Government Department. This is a remote position initially, then based in Westminster, London once the office re-opens. The role is In Scope of IR35, 6 month contract, paying £600 per day.
We are looking for an Oracle Developer to join one of our delivery teams. We are on a mission to modernise, maintain and make better digital services .
Key Responsibilities:
Work on maintaining a number of applications built with several Oracle products (mainly Oracle E-Business Suite)
Help the existing team to better understand the core components of the system
Improve test coverage
Reduce technical debt
Make changes to the system with confidence and modernise the codebase and the release process as much as possible.
Essential Skills
SQL and PL/SQL
Team player
Essential Experience
*Good experience with tools like SQL*Plus, Toad or SQL Developer
Working knowledge of Git and GitHub
Experience working in Agile product teams, preferably within Scrum and/or Kanban frameworks
Desirable Experience
Oracle E-Business Suite 11i, APEX, Oracle Applications Framework
Database tuning tools (analysing SQL trace files, using EXPLAIN PLAN)
Comfortable with live data fixes (production support)
Automated test scripting (with Ruby, Python, etc.)
