JOB DESCRIPTION

Medix is currently seeking an Open-Source Developer for an exciting contract to hire job opportunity with our client in Orange County (Anaheim area)

This role will start remotely due to the COVID pandemic. Long-term, there will be the opportunity to continue working remotely, with some on-site work required.

ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Our client is a large professional services organization that is seeking to deliver on their new SEO Strategy in upgrading their legacy web portfolio to responsive web design with single page applications. This Open-Source Developer will be joining an Agile Development Team in creating highly scalable, high-performance web solutions using Javascript / Typescript libraries and frameworks such as React.js, Vue.js, Angular.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working in an Agile team to develop responsive, single-page applications 
  • Working exclusively within an open-source environment - MongoDB with Express.js, React / Angular / Vue and Node.js. (MEAN/MERN/MEVN)
  • Working with Express.js and MongoDB on the back-end to process large amounts of dynamic, non-relational data.
  • Designing and develop interactive, custom UI components 
  • Employing techniques like code refactoring to build scalability and effective, quick development
  • Using Node.js to deliver data-intensive, real-time processing applications that run across distributed devices.
  • Unit-testing using Jasmin or Jest
  • Maintaining code updates in Git

    • REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required Bachelor of Science Degree in a Computer Science, or related field 
  • 5+ years of full-stack application development 
  • Required 3 years experience in Angular, Vue.JS or React.js
  • Experience with MongoDB, or a similar NoSQL Database platform.

    Work Location: Temporarily Remote (due to COVID)
    Position Type: W2 Contract To Hire 
    Hourly Rate: Negotiable
