Overview
The Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory is a world-class fusion energy research laboratory managed by Princeton University for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Science. PPPL is dedicated to developing the scientific and technological knowledge base for fusion energy. The Laboratory advances the fields of fusion energy and plasma physics research to develop the scientific understanding and key innovations needed to realize fusion as an energy source for the world.
The Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) has an OnBase developer opening within its Information Technology Department in the application development (AppDev) team. Under minimal supervision, the successful candidate is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting OnBase applications to fulfil the business functions of the laboratory. The ideal candidate will be working closely with customer departments and responsible for resolving and engaging end-users in troubleshooting issues. Strong verbal and written communication are required.
Responsibilities
10% - Requirements gathering, documentation of functional specifications (Core function documentation) 60% - Design, Develop and maintain OnBase applications 10% - Provide trainings and documentations for function admins 20% - Backup support for other applications within AppDev Team
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field At least five years of OnBase development, implementation, and support experience Knowledge of programming, networking, system, and security technology Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Experience in full life cycle development of OnBase applicationsAbility collect and translate requirements into scalable, supportable, efficient OnBase solutionsProficient with OnBase Configuration, OnBase Client, OnBase Unity Client, OnBase Studio, OnBase Web Client, Hyland Unity Management Console of EP1 and laterProficient with OnBase Workflow and/or WorkView Experience in configuring OnBase DIP Processing, Batch scanning, Advanced Capture OCRAbility to work independently on assigned development projectsBe able to monitor, resolve and engage end-users in troubleshooting issues Experience with C# and or VB .NetHands on experience with MS SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL databases Basic working knowledge of and some experience with Linux, Windows OS and Mac OSAbility to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with users of varying degrees of technical ability and understandingEffective time management skills and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks and set prioritiesAbility to work independently and with a team Preferred Qualifications:
