Network Engineer / NOC Engineer / Network Analyst - MPLS, LAN, WAN, VoIP, Cisco, Cisco Nexus, Checkpoint, NetScaler. Permanent, Crawley, West Sussex, £400 - 425p/day (On Experience).

Network Engineer / NOC Engineer / Network Analyst required by global organisation to provide both project delivery and BAU support for the global data network infrastructure in both business and datacentre environments. You will focus on the support of the MPLS network based on Cisco data networking technologies (routing, switching, streaming and security) and Checkpoint Firewalls across the global enterprise consisting of LAN, WAN, VLAN and Voice/Video Conferencing technologies.

Due to the urgency of this contract you will need to be available to interview next week and be available to start immediately or within 1-2 weeks' notice, maximum.

Working within a team, based in the datacentre, the Network Engineer / NOC Engineer will monitor and support existing Cisco based data network infrastructure resolving issues relating to LAN/WAN/VLAN/VPN across the MPLS and critically datacentre technologies such as NetScaler for load balancing and other technologies for packet shaping across the enterprise. You will play a key role ongoing BAU support and security of the networks employed across the European and global enterprise with additional project delivery experience to improve the network infrastructure as required

The successful Network Engineer / NOC Engineer will have gained experience in both design/delivery and BAU support of enterprise level data networks (based on Cisco technology and Checkpoint Firewalls). You will be able to provide input towards LAN/WAN/MPLS/VoIP/Load Balancing (NetScaler) and all related data centre technologies and protocols. You will seek to become involved with architectural and network design but be able to provide expertise in BAU. Security considerations will also form a major part of this role.

The successful candidate will possess excellent organisation and communication skills and ideally hold CCNA/CCNP/CCDP/CCIE or similar qualification - not essential. Commercial experience as NOC Engineer in a medium to large-scale (500 - 1000 - 10,000 users) environment across multiple locations/sites in the UK or ideally EMEA/Global enterprise is of greater importance. Any experience gained with Load Balancing technologies such as Netscaler, F5, Riverbed etc would be a distinct advantage.

You may have been working for an ISP or hosting company such as Rackspace or Liquidweb or alternatively within a similar high traffic volume environment such as Eurosport, BBC, Virgin Media or alternatively for a global banking, insurance or media organisation and be looking to find a role which will cover all core elements of BAU support and project work across the Cisco Data Network / Network Operations Centre (NOC) environment.

Easily commutable from Croydon, Surrey; Brighton, East Sussex or South West London (45 Minutes from Victoria or Clapham Junction).
