Network & Security Consultant III (Remote)

Are you looking for a unique consulting position with a growing technology company? We are looking for well-rounded, ambitious senior consultants with an independent, entrepreneurial attitude. Successful candidates will have a strong network and security background as well as the ability to thrive in open work environments.

While we have immediate needs for Check Point and Palo Alto architecture and implementation work, we will always consider candidates who have a strong conceptual understanding of networking and security, good problem solving skills, and who are eager to learn.

Open positions include permanent and contract-to-hire. Compensation will commensurate with experience and skill level.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in network and security architecture and design discussions
• Perform implementation work and provide support for network and security devices, including Check Point, Juniper, Palo Alto, Cisco, HP/Aruba
• Produce documentation based on our templates, including Visio drawings
• Project management for short engagements that do not have a dedicated project manager

Required Skills/Expertise:

• Deep conceptual understanding of IP networks and network security, including dynamic routing, security policy design, and network architecture principles.
• Cisco, Check Point and Palo Alto next generation firewall (NGFW) expertise
• Experience with AWS design and related firewall architecture
• Scripting experience for task orchestration and automation
• Proficiency with standard LINUX commands and tools
• Network Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS)
• Packet decoding and analysis, enterprise wireless, SSL VPN solutions
• Ability to lead and execute large, complex projects related to new technology integration
• Exceptional analytical skills, problem solving ability, and creativity
• Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively are critical for regular interaction with clients, partners, and vendors
• Demonstrated ability to work under intense pressure when resolving complex issues with strict deadlines
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to present

Relevant Experience:

• 8+ years (Required)
