Sr. Network Engineer / Architect – Remote (Atlanta based)

We are seeking a Sr. Network Engineer / Architect for a mostly remote role with less than 5% onsite in Atlanta. This position delineates design, installs, and operates the infrastructure that supports all physical and logical links within the Enterprise Network. This support includes infrastructure builds for Data Centers, Recovery Centers, Trading Desks, Call Centers and attached devices.

This is a full-time, 6 months contract / consulting opportunity for our client in the Atlanta area. This position is working remotely to around 5% onsite visits. Candidates MUST be local to Atlanta as you may be asked to visit the campus with short notice.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in IT, Networking, or related disciple.
  • CCNP required.
  • Experience: 7+ years’ experience as Network Engineer with some architecture experience.
  • Must have strong configuration and troubleshooting, LAN, WAN, and Wireless. Especially on the WAN side.
  • Ability to work remotely with strong documentation experience.
  • On-call once a month on Sundays due to system maintenance.
  • This role is more on the design, operations, configuration, and engineering spectrum.
  • Partner with suppliers to do the hands-on work.
  • Background in ITIL or Project Management desired.
  • Ability to work with internal stakeholders to articulate technical concepts in a non-technical way.
