Network Engineer
We are seeking a French Speaking Network Engineer to join a leading global storage organisation supporting one of their customers based in Clermont Ferrant, France. This project centers around the successful delivery of network and security projects in a customer datacentre.
Network Engineer key skills:
The successful Network Engineer will possess an in-depth knowledge of the following:
- Have strong technical skills in the areas of networks and telecommunications
- Master of TCP/IP protocols and routing protocols.
- Know how to manage network and security elements (switches and routers such as Cisco, Dell, HP and Stonesoft, Fortinet firewalls)
- Expertise in both Linux and Windows environments (infrastructure servers: DNS, LDAP, DHCP, proxy, ...)
- Know the concepts and techniques of system architectures (virtualization, storage, backup)
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, Perl, Python)
- Know the tools of network analysis, supervision, alert and reporting
- Strong understanding of spoken and written French is essential
Network Engineer responsibilities
- Administer and maintain architectures (N2, N3) and security (Firewall, VPN concentrators, proxy, Load balancer, etc.)
- Provide preventive and curative maintenance operations for network architectures, security and systems.
- Put in place the means to guarantee performance and availability such as redundancy and QoS
- Write and update procedures and associated technical documentation.
- Apply the standards of security in liaison with the IT Security Manager
