Job Details:

This is in support of our mission partner and below are the responsibilities. Job function is essentially a Senior Network Engineer with a focus in security.

Responsibilities/Qualifications:

  • For this specific position, there is some extra emphasis around security and firewall experience. i.e. Cisco/Juniper/McAfee/Palo Alto/FireEye/Security authentication/ACL’s/Email security
  • Work with the client’s mission partners and internal resources in gathering networking requirements, discussing with mission partners the current network architecture, and de-signing and documenting the requirements into a solution document.
  • Utilize various security authentication methods, to include access control lists, single sign on, two-factor authentication, and smart/token card certificate authentication using current network communications topologies and communications infrastructure hardware including switches, routers, load balancers, and firewalls.
  • Support the design of routing, switching, VPNs, Terminal Access Controller Access Control System (TACACS)/Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service (RADIUS),), Software Defined Networking (SDN) and convergent networks.
  • Utilize networking protocols (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), data link Switching (DLSW), and Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS).
  • Coordinate and integrate new systems created for DISA/DoD use within the DISA Data Center.
  • Provide support in resolving network communication issues as the development and integration of these systems transition from initial standup to initial operating capacity to full operating capacity.
  • Utilize network analyzers and troubleshoot/isolate network connectivity issues.
  • Support implementation of configuration management process and support the tracking and reporting of those changes.
  • Update baseline artifacts to include logical design, as-is drawings for proper network administration of the systems and applications.
  • Diagram, document, configure and install layer 2/3 networks.

Required Qualifications:

  • Secret Security Clearance (with SSBI)
  • 8570 Certification of Security+

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
