Are you a solid CCNP qualified Network Engineer who is all about delivering outstanding, cost effective technology?

My client is looking for a Network Engineer to support their internal users whilst always looking for better, simpler and more effective ways of delivery in a fast paced environment.


What you'll be doing

  • Management and support of office, datacentre and cloud networks
  • Connectivity into Cloud Services
  • Exploiting and exposing the performance of the global networks for all, using tools such as Solarwinds, Graphite/Grafana, Splunk etc.
  • Continual service improvement of all network services
  • Troubleshoot problem areas as required, providing in depth network support to both support and project teams
  • Manage and administer systems that relate to network management. This includes network monitoring and analysis tools as well as peripheral network services like DNS and DHCP.
  • Producing network documentation for internal network team and wider technology colleagues
  • Ensuring operational requirements are considered and met for our products
  • Active involvement in all stages of planning of initiatives
  • Ensure all network components adhere to security standards

You will have

  • Experience in managing and troubleshooting in a Cisco and Checkpoint world to a senior level
  • Solid switching and routing skills and experience supporting both Layer 2 networks, and a Layer 3 LAN that closely integrates with the MAN and WAN network using BGP, OSPF and EIGRP routing protocols to provide resilience
  • Maximising performance and availability of wireless networking (Cisco)
  • Exploitation of network monitoring and management tools
  • Experience of having a heavy workload and dealing with it accordingly
  • Familiarity with a range of AWS technologies, (such as Cloudformation, Lambda and EC2)

You may have

  • An accredited qualification in cisco or firewall e.g. CCNP
  • Have worked in a large organisation
  • Have experience of Cisco DNA
  • Have used a programming language such as python or anything similar
  • Experienced with shell scripting (bash or otherwise)
