job summary:

Contract position: Client is looking for a DevOps Engineer for a 6-9 month long term contract position. You will operate as part of a dedicated team of IT professionals that sets up and deploys containers using Kubernetes for a private Cloud based system. This is a W2 position - not C2C. *** This is also a Remote work position type: Contract
salary: $60 - 70 per hour
work hours: 8am to 5pm
education: Bachelors
 
responsibilities:
Plans and collaborates with team members to research, design, implement, document, monitor, maintain, and support private cloud infrastructure running container services and orchestration to support network management and automation applicationsDevelops and operates containers, systems and applications that provide core network services as well as virtual network functionsSet up, deploy and operate containers with KubernetesCoordinates the resolution of unplanned changes, upgrades, or outages of network infrastructure applications and servicesResolves medium- to-high complexity technical issues with private cloud infrastructure and applications during and outside of core business hours. Interacts and cooperates with other internal and external support groups to facilitate resolution of technical issues to maximize system availability and meet Service Level Agreements 
qualifications:
5+ years of experience in DevOps for cloud infrastructure projectsMust have strong hands-on experience setting up, deploying and operating containers with KubernetesExperience working with open source toolsYou should have experience in automation software development on LinuxBachelor's degree or master's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or other related field 
skills: Must be very experienced with Kubernetes and Containers
